What's entertaining on the Web?

Postby gretsch-o-rama » Fri Jul 18, 2014 3:19 pm

For a drummer, after you've watched every conceivable youtube video, what else is there to do? I seem to be in a rut lately...

First of all, get away from your computer. Second, forget about the Internet. Read a book. Go hear the symphony. Write some music. Get some exercise. Join a band. Meditate. Do some gardening. Cook up a delicious meal for your friends.

Aren't you creating a paradox even by replying to my post? You surely must take your own advice!

I do my best, but my work requires me to be in front of my computer, and I've got a LOT of work to do lately. At this rate, I will only accomplish about 7% of the things I want to accomplish before I expire.

For me, Internet is strictly entertainment and Troll hunting. :-) I tried it another way and it didn't take...

Get away from the smart/cell phone as well.

Everywhere I go, I see people texting/talking on their phones, while sitting, driving, walking.

They're not looking at the clouds, the sky, listening to the birds, the wind in the trees.

Those are the things that our electronic media are poor substitutes for.

Those are the sights and sounds that we are hard-wired into.
