They played yesterday too and recorded a Live DVD.
On Dave´s facebook:
"Los Angeles, California! The Dave Weckl Acoustic Band is at Catalina Jazz Club in Hollywood Monday and Tuesday! Come on Monday and you'll be in on the filming of Dave's LIVE DVD! Come Tuesday, and a certain drum magazine will be shooting for a cover story!

If you say that because he´s deleted the video above I disagree.
That night the band is recording a Live DVD and a few hours later a 10 minute long phone video is in youtube.
Weckl is not the guy deleting everything about him in internet, but in this case is perfectly understandable.
Is not bad to have certain "control" about the things posted about yourself.
Gavin does the same and I support that.

I saw the band in dc at a nice theater. I was at a table, right against the stage,right in front of Dave. If anyone thought about going and did not, bad decision. I have to sat this is the best band he has ever played with. Incredible. Dave was not going through the motions. He, Tom Kennedy (omg), Makoto Ozone, probably the most harmonically sophisticated pianist he has had in his band.
Dave was mindblowing. The whole band was on the same page. Dave talked in between the songs and cracked jokes. The band was all smiles onstage.
This was the best i have ever seen him play. Tom Kennedy proved he is one of the baddest upright players out there.
Completely amazing show. And got the new cd that is not out yet. You all missed it.

I was heading out the door to see the show last Monday and Mr Life called and put a damper on Weckl time.
I think I'm getting Weckl'ed out. I have seen it all. Always awesome to see him live but I think I'm to desensitized. The plus a DVD will come out and I will get it. I will go see Virgil with Holdsworth next week tho. That band is fucking great.
