I got a chance to hang with Gary last night at gig he did with Steve Billman and Jeff Miley. It was at church in Eagle Rock, he sounded great as usual!

Noice Steve, I know Gary a little bit, but never really had the chance to hang with him.
Well, I'm even wondering if he remembers me at that point... :-)

I don't think I've ever seen a clip of Gary playing, that I didn't like.

Some of my favorite Gary stuff is when he plays with Josh Smith. He plays super fat and rootsy - it's not the super chops fusion stuff (which I also love) but it really shows Gary's musicianship. He knows where he fits in the music - all the time.

The Live at the Spud record by Josh Smith is a Gary Novak masterclass.
