That´s great Steve!
Looking forward to watching your video.

I remember the first time I listened to Rush.
Neil´s fills and drum arrangements were unique...
I think everything was unique in Rush, songs, lyrics, sound...

And for a drumming point of view, man, those long fills from the smallest tom to the biggest, those tom fills phrases, BD/crashes in the coolest places, groove compositions, ghost notes...

Neil Peart!!!!

Yeah Steve...this is gonna be good! Your attention to detail
will really honor this man. No pressure, just know you will
do it right. I will send it to all my non-drumming RUSH buddies.

Thanks guys - it's coming along. I'm at the cut-cut-cut phase trimming the fat and keeping the pace moving and making sure it's visually interesting as much as possible .

Thanks Steve. I read his book Traveling Music a couple weeks ago, was planning to well before he passed, had a vacation to Florida planned nd powered through.

He lived a life. He did think of his life as heroic, it seems, he lived it that way. He talks in depth about his time in London, and having mo prospects as s drummer. It's happenstance that he got in Rush, really.

Long time since I've posted here, but I am really looking forward to seeing your video Steve. :-) Neil´s passing hit me quite hard, so I've been going through - as I guess a lot of us - many of his recordings and YouTube etc.

It's funny how the YouTube copyright detection system works. It's pretty impressive really. It got Spirit of the Radio despite me talking over it for all of 5 seconds. I expected lots of copyright claims preventing monetization of course - but there was a couple bits from Free Will where I talk about a cool fill in the guitar solo and show several clips of that same fill. Those clips were detected and resulted in the video being BLOCKED in most countries. I had to remove that little segment.
We'll see if future copyright claims pop up. I let the video simmer for a bit before making it public.

Anyways, I hope folks like it.

Amazing Steve. Thanks so much for making.

Curious - why the thanks for Adam Neely and Rick Beato? For inspiration for these types of vids?

Really nice, sincere, and very well done Steve, I learned a lot. He touched a lot of people, I hope he knew just how many people he affected. I wish it was more accepted for us to do things like this while people were still alive. Just a good honest appreciation for a person and his artistic contributions. Unfortunately the stalkers and the obsessive nut cases ruined it for everyone.

Kudos, great job!
