Rodge you got any fusion gigs or vibes in the mix?

The first video that you posted many moons ago...tune in 7 is crazy amazing playing. You were channeling Vinnie the entire tune!

Yeah...that was my "introduction" to Rodge's "craziness"!!! As a refresher (still a killer 16 years later)...
When in doubt...roll.

Hey Kurtis, na, I don't play that often this kind of music, but end of august I should do a Chick Corea tribute in Paris, it gonna be more song from Chick's Jazz repertoire, but the Fusion will be not too far I believe... :-)

Man, that clip of me playing that shit is tiring in a way... :D
Also a good reminder of the chops I lost since then... :D
I come from Tain, Vinnie, Omar, Jeff, Fish, Stewart, and many more...

It's normal to relax on the chops and not have to pull them out all the time as we age. At the same time there is usually a flow there that we couldn't even start approaching in our younger years along with usually a more defined identity.

The fire is still there, but it's a different type of fire. Both have their place and charm.

Yeah that's great, Jeppe! I rode a bicycle for years here in Nashville because I couldn't afford a car and navigating the hills and bridges of the city were brutal, so the fact that these guys can do what they do is otherworldly to me. That's just a different breed of human that can compete like that. Also, the Rodge shit is still ridiculous. It's one thing to film yourself in a practice room but he's pulling all that off on a gig in front of an audience and just MURDERING. Tu es ridicule mon ami!
Moderation's all well and good, just don't overdo it.
