Paul, I simply cannot thank you enough for this recommendation. Best read for me in years, and a huge help in these strange and hard times. THANK YOU.

I'm glad it helped. I'm still struggling with it all too, and my mom died two years ago.

I wouldn't even know where to start talking about these days.

My mom eventally was sent to the dementia department in the old people's home. It was done very quickly expecially to me as I haven't had the ability to be really present. Time passes by even when I'm not well and that's one of the main issues with this whole thing. They took away the last years my Mom was reasonably lucid, as well.

My work issues come down to burnout. I've oretty much had PTSD from November 2015 to Nvember 2018 and I've taken two more years to get out of it while continuously being treated in a very similar way. My activism and telling the truth on the side is the only therapy that really has any effect. The rest is just a waste of time. It's an excuse to be on sick leave, but it's not a good way to do things. It's still amazing to me how hard it is for people, especially those you consider family and friends to show much understanding. If I should get a sizeable settlement at some point I would just go away and leave most of them behind. There are always other health issues when something like this goes on for so long. I'll probably hear from my lawyer this week if there's anything that can be done at all. This is Norway where penalties and settlement are low and narcissistic abuse itself isn't even considered a thing, it seems.

I needed a new hobby to get more outside and take my mind off things, so I've taken up archery. Plan has always been to have a simple livestyle, spend much time outside, fishing, hunting etc..., so trying to move on.

I was looking to order a 20x8 bass drum from Farmer Footdrums, but that $395 drum showed up in the cart with $670 in shipping. That's a no go, so I wrote them to ask for an alternative method.

Situation in my own home town is as silly as it gets, so I'm changing tactics here. Taking a break all of November except for today and then there'll be more of a Christmas themed thing for all of December.

I start unemployment soon and at least this time I'll be more productive, try to life life, go to the cities lot and see if I can make some sort of plan for the future. Load up my car with a tent and practice kit and just go on the road a lot.

I will be going to the Drum Camp with Erik Smith again this year. It will be slightly different because of Covid, but it well be good to just get out.

Sounds like you're making a real effort to keep up with the punches as they come - it's great to see you're not just laying down and taking them. You're doing the right thing trying to stay positive and holding on to the sources that bring the positivity.
Good luck sir!

Sometimes I am laying down because there is literarily nothing left to give.

The biggest isse for me personally is that I donæt feel like me anymore. I'm not the guy who decided at age 6 I'd be a musician and at age 9 that I would become a teacher because I understood these isues already then.

There's no fear, though. It's even more natural for me to speak my truth now. The activism will get more personal for a while. I'll take a break from it all until March, but here in my home town in December I will shift from the organization way and instead do reader posts in the local newspaper and get out and play downtown every day the weather permits.

It will be done more and more frequently and it's not reeally an aggresive thing. It's just saying that I'm still here and we all know the truth.

It's tough case to win as my documentation isn't all that. These tax paid cases do have a limit in regards to how far they go and a lawyer won't even try it seems there's not enough. If it was a different type of case with people on trial these people would be slaughtered beacuse the NPD is so obvious, but it's not that simple.

Over New Years I will start looking at other options for financial support and see what can be done about school, too.

For me to get back into artist mode will take a bit, so it's not really a thing right now. it's just about finding a way to live while not completely giving up on the past either.

This is a "Semmelweis story" in every way, so it is really my civic duty to keep going.

I will soon be getting into a daily practice routine again. I know that. No new drum stuff for a while, though. What little extra money I have will go to archery stuff and various other outdoor gear.

School will at the earliest be in 1 1/2 years. I'll be fine then, so my playing will obviously be fine, too.
