Hi Steve!

As someone who’s never been on discord, I wonder- feeling old as time itself- what do you imagine / wish for this move, that the forum doesn’t provide at this point?

This is not an attempt to "move" HoD - simply offer another village for the tribe as an experiment.
I don't have too much time on discord myself, but I can't deny the user friendly and slick interface and functionality.

PhP Forums feel dated and sharing/embedding media on them is janky. With discord sharing media is as easy as drag-n-drop, or paste links from any other site will embed as intended with no issue. It's ideal for a community that focuses on discussing an art form.
It has community voice and video chat builtin on every server (including HoD).
It's free.
It's extremely modular. Discord is designed to interface with other apps/services/sites.
It works perfectly on mobile and mac/pc via web OR app.

Again, just trying it out.

Is the Safari error on ios?
I would recommend installing the Discord app if possible. Also try copy/pasting the link into Safari address instead of clicking it. Try another browser if possible , it may be a Safari specific issue.
Otherwise I can create another link? That one is supposed to work for 30 days.

Yes, i was using ios safari on my ipad. I just cut and pasted the link, and same thing happened. The link brings me to the correct page, but after i click "accept invite", this invalid dialog box comes up. Definately a Safari issue. I really don't want to try a different browser on my ipad. Trying to keep as streamlined as possible. Might try the discord app later.

I've had issues w discord and Safari. When it kicks you, try going back to the previous page, it may resolve. If not, Brave works.
