Beautiful! Love Max's approach. I see his first DVD is available as a physical disc now.

Thanks for this! I'm gonna go see what else I can find on him now. I loved the concept behind the exercise in dynamics, such a little thing to mess with but look at the results!

Agree with the comments...

First thought however was another instructional video covering what about 500 already have covered
but w/professional production. This looks like a video cam in his bedroom selling for $25 a pop
and he sells his lick videos as well on his site, stuff easily for free on youtube.

What I haven't seen, and usually don't in these videos is how to play with other musicians,
how to interpret a song and create parts, how to take practicing into a musical concept
in a band, how to approach specific gig situations...real life stuff.

In fact, Steve you should do this. Here's what I want to see in a video.
1. My daily practice routine
2. How I approached playing this song in my (a band) original material...
I mean really go into depth here..."I was first given a CD of the groove
to play with at home before rehearsal...I played that groove with the band
and made specif adjustments, I tried another feel, went back to the original,
was thinking about a groove played by (name drummer and song) and tried to
incorporate that feel, had difficulty with...."

That sorta stuff...

The guy I wish would put out a vid is Anton Figg and how he approaches the Letterman gig.
Imo, for the working drummer, that info would be invaluable.

Not dumping on this thread...if so...will delete comments...but this whole idea of
creating another instructional video in today's market somehow bugged me.

Edit: no disrespect to Max...this is great stuff;

Ahhh...imagine getting what you want so quickly...thanks Clint!

Max should have won the competition...his version is fantastic and soooo much better than the performance
of the guy who won first place (in my opinion). Well, it was a Facebook vote.

Max:

Max has nice feel. The guy who won couldn't hit the drums hard enough for a freakin pop song. Keith and Max played to much clickety clack for my taste. to much rim stuff going on. weckl would have a field day with his pretty cross stick work.
