Jeff's snare certainly was popping! He certainly has got the 'play relaxed'
thing happening.

Luke is an underrated axe man in his genre of peers.

More screen time than ol' Byron got on the 1990 vid that TOTO put out.
I liked the guy, but apparently the boys had some issues...especially
Luke. Listening to him discuss Byron reminds me of Alex VH's take on
Diamond Dave. Not a lotta love.

The MM tune is not the same w/Jeff compared to his other drummers...one in
particular who plays it w/8th notes. Are you kidding me!

Jeff was just always great (so thanks for posting!), but I had to stop when Byron comes in. I can't imagine a stage presence/voice combo that I would hate more.

Nope it was TOTO record company ( sony) who decide to use JMB ,JMB was sign with sony without
a band and they ( sony) decide to put him with TOTO on that tour. Jeff hate him, and LUKE can't

There are more people (in the music industry) who are / were using coke. But that has nothing to do with choices made by Toto whether to use a particular singer or not. IMO they always struggled with lead singers, as with whom they were targeting with their music too. Friends of mine call it musician's music. I know what they mean but I still get pissed. It was Jeff and it remains Jeff, a part of his legacy. But if I listen to the lyrics of any Toto song, I can't get excited either. Basically, the only reason why I like Toto is Jeff Porcaro. And altough JMB looks like a cocky person, those four additional songs on Past to Present; Love Has The Power, Can You Hear What I am Saying, Animal and Out of Love were my new favourites at that time. Great drumming too. Together with Joseph Williams maybe my favourite Toto era.

I dont like this JMB guy at all..

I cant believe he has the nerve to use "Hold the Line" on his website..He didnt even record that song..Somone should tell Luke about this shit.JMB is riding Toto's coattails and IMO it's a horrible thing to do. Seeing as how he mocked them from the beginning of his tenure.
