Yup! In a surf band! I've got a really cool story about Steve. I have some of his earlier works with Gadd on drums and Will Lee on bass. Simply slammin' stuff. I friended him on Facebook and sent him a private message saying how much I enjoyed his music. He immediately wrote me back and profusely thanked me. He further said that material didn't represent his current musical state. He asked for my home address to send some more recent recordings. Two days later I received a 2nd Day Air package from Steve with 11 CDs of all his material from the CD's I had forward including some homemade CDs of more obscure stuff!

Who does that kind of stuff in this day and age? He's a class act all the way and one of my favorite jazz guitarists!

Thanks for the link. I love Inside Musicast. Cool interview. Also, great story Rob. Steve Khan strikes me as that kind of guy.

Anyone who hires Anthony Jackson on a regular basis is ok in my book!!

Any interest out there in a transcription of Weckl's solo in Mama Chola?

OMG Yes! I read something where Dave was originally shying away from doing the solo; couple days later came back agreeing to it (after shedding some ideas no doubt).
