It seems to be a real audition video. We´ll see.
And for the no-selected drummers, I don´t see a negative side (curriculum - wise)

Maybe the video is a little pretentious, but I like the documentary idea. A LOT.

Among those drummers, Virgil would be my choice...
But I want the other parts of the video...NOW

It's a total rip off from when Metallica did their search for a new bass player... and of course, it makes money, increases promotions, etc smart move for sure.
Well done and an interesting watch non the less.

Google search brings up a lot of "Mike Mangini rumoured to be new Dream Theater drummer."

At the end of the video you see a few faces of the drummers auditioning. Virgil is in there. Rodney also. So looking forward to seeing those guys audition with the band. I would love to see mike M get the gig. Great showman. He's the best fit. Virgil would be ok I guess. Virgil would really have an impact on the direction of the music. I just don't dig his playing at times. It can be too much. Looking forward to seeing Virgil with the bad when that part comes out. Could care less who gets the gig cause I can't stand their music. Love the audition videos. Bravo! Got a kick out of the lead singer being blown away at the end of the video by someone's double bass skills. Like that matters. I'm sure it was Virgil.

Great, just as I am trying to finish off my dissertation Episode 1 comes online.

Edit: Just watched it...wish they would show an entire song or something as opposed to the drummers arriving in their hotel rooms and all that jizzle. Don't understand how in a 3 part series, they are going to fit 7 drummers, when they only had 1 in the first episode?
