probably a lame comment, but watching Phil is what I wanted to
see with Smith in Journey...both Phil and Tommy Aldridge still hit
hard like it was 1985!

Absolutely. Phil is, even with everything he's been through, kicking ass.

Bernard Purdie said in Drumhead that Ringo wasn't on any Beatles studio records, only live.

This is a lesson.

"Bernard Purdie said in Drumhead that Ringo wasn't on any Beatles studio records, only live."

BP is a drummer's drummer when it comes to groove composition...but his mental
ruminations sound a little like;

1. Ford never made a Pinto
2. Henry Aaron only hit singles
3. Bugs Bunny was a rodent
4. Apple pie is made with coconuts
5. Radio waves are just voices in your head

...but the man can lay down a sweet groove!

Ford DID make a Pinto & Ringo DID play on Beatles' Records...

That was the most detailed interview on that subject I have read to date. Only made stranger when he said he wasn't the
only "ghost" drummer on those recordings and those people should come forward. :|
