So classy.
PS : I don't think that that snare drum sound is the best for that music, but Ricky (RIP) plays so great.

Great Chick Corea concert, also posted on dimeadozen, in which people are discussing if it is Gadd or Brechtlein on drums. Based on an old videotape that I had, some rare Chick Corea footages from 1978-1979, it could be Brechtlein, who played some of those trademark Gadd licks, as far as I remember. But, there are too many "Gaddisms", so I guess it is Gadd. What's your opinion?

I actually have the VHS tape of that (too bad I don't have a VCR anymore so it just collects dust). Ricky Lawson plays his typically great stuff. I really like what he plays on "Let's Pretend". So tasteful.
When in doubt...roll.

This shit is burning !!!
The bass and drums are not joking around, awesome !!!
If credits are correct David Agent on bass and Richard Aevon on drums, they are incredible.

That is some seriously killer stuff Rodge. That snare is perfect. Something to be said for damped drums.

Not sure who the hell played bass on this, but damn, and the drums...hooks all over.

This is pretty cool. He can still hit hard, and has his groove.
