This is one WILD LP...drumming reminds me of early Sabbath
and this drum sound is SO punchy

Hitting VERY HARD, nice pocket, nailing the part, I love it. :-)

Yep Rodge, hard hitting, awesome player. Haven't heard that song for years, my favourite Phil tune! Was it not Chester Thompson on the recording?

This guy is amazing. Complete Weckl clone. But his execution of several blushda's is really good.

Yeah! I've seen that before, it's so incredibly good. The sound quality on that live recording is great, the drummer is fantastic and the snare really pops nicely, and Jacob Collier is a genius from another planet. He composes such stunning music and is a virtuoso in mulitple instruments. Prodigious talent.

Am sharing some drum fill / solo ideas based on half note triplet
on the tune C U T E. Do the fills work?

I'm sure this has been posted somewhere in here before but I'm always blown away by Gary Novak's playing even though for some reason I've never really dug deep into it. Maybe I'm afraid to. This video was playing on another tab as I was doing something else and I clicked back like 5 times before I gave up and had to watch the whole thing. That 32nd note single accented roll on snare to toms that he plays twice in the vid is so goddamn awesome. Then he loses Krantz near the end of his solo. Which isn't like some big thing I'm impressed by but in this case it seemed like an extension of the musical phrase. Anyway, if you have or haven't seen it, enjoy.

Love that clip. Cool guitar lineup - and Novak on the big Sake kick when they were a thing.
I always snicker when Wayne ejects during the metric modulation. Funny watching great players navigate choppy waters.
