I can't say enough good things about Gary.
I've met most top (western world) players - I'd absolutely count him among the top players,
and his humility shines while he is an amazing musician.

Gary, you´re such a great influence!
The other day I removed the dust from my old copy of Gary Moore´s Dark Days in Paradise... you fit the music so well! Good stuff...
How it was to work with mr. Moore? Any specifics about that session?
Thanks guys for posting this...

Thanks Julian,
There were a couple of ballads, especially, that I enjoyed playing on that record. Nice songs, and I thought they came to life in a nice way.
Gary was a sweet guy and a magnificent and powerful player. It was always 100% with him - every gig, every rehearsal. So sad that I was only planning a participation with him (along with Jack Bruce and myself) towards my next record just a few days before he passed away. That one hit me - more than I thought it would. Probably too as he was definitely not one I considered would be going anywhere any time soon. He wasn't a big drinker or abuser at all, comparatively with some I know.
A very big shame. Very sad. I have fond memories of my little times with him.

Thanks for all nice comments once again.
I just thought to throw in an extra post with news that are some audio snippets from (largely as yet unfinished) mixes playing over at the homepage of my website http://www.garyhusband.com
I'm excited about the next album release, and for anyone who may be motivated to check it out hope you like the sound of the way it's coming together.
By the way, there is another newer interview that I like too. It's on Matthew Garrison's website - http://www.garrisonjazz.com/?course=500
A little long-winded, (and ya have to join free of charge) but what you need to do is go to the 'Community' tab on the menu - then look on the left under 'GJP Community - Artists' then click on the 'drummers' link - then you should see 'Drummers 2011' underneath, click on that and you should see a bar appear in the content section saying 'select' - click that then choose 'Drummer Interviews 2011' - then another link will appear under that - with my name on it - then choose that! - and then you get the interview in three sections....
Best wishes all round.
