Hey guys,

I'm afraid I've been pretty bad at contributing to this forum. I did sign up a couple of years ago but all my time seems to have been sucked into some software I was working on. If you're interested in checking it out there are videos showing how it works, and some ways I use it in my practice sessions here : http://www.joecrabtree.com/software . I've got another really cool one in the pipeline - I just have to make videos explaining how to use it before I make it available.

I also put a whole bunch of new vids up on my youtube channel before I headed out on tour. They're at http://www.youtube.com/pfefftube (how I wish I'd picked a better name for that :D )

SInce I started the tour I've been trying to write more, so I finally have a blog of my random drum thoughts. If you're looking for something to read I welcome your comments. If you're on Facebook you can get updates by following me at http://www.facebook.com/pages/Joe-Crabtree/154808904561193

I've never been good with keeping up with forums but I've got a new account here and I'm going to try and check in more often.

All the best,
Joe

Welcome, Joe! I really enjoyed watching your explanation of Vinnie's "Seven Days" groove on Youtube. You are quite the player!
Just checked out your blog-interesting thoughts there!

Hope you enjoy this forum!

Hi Joe,

Maybe you´ve already done this but my suggestion would be that you include lots of templates with rythmic ideas, exercises etc so that the user would instantly have something to mess around with as soon as they purchase the software, for example: a bunch of poly´s. What about having some sort of a notepad "window" with a text explanation of the exercise being played or even the possibility of writing your own notes (text) down ?

Hey Joe, seen your videos on youtube previously and it´s all awesome! Just watching your solo ideas video, your drum sounds great. That sextuplet foot/hand combo is a nice lick to be able to pool out of the bag in a solo! Going to work on that one!

Hey sejuba,

I took note of your suggestions and I've added a line across the bottom of OctopuSequencer where you can add a short note about the patch. The biggest problem with a lot of this stuff is finding the space to fit it all in.
I also made a tab on the software page http://www.joecrabtree.com/software where I'll be uploading presets for it. There's only one there at the moment but I'm hoping to find a way of allowing other people to upload their presets too. Maybe through the forum.

Again, I've been terrible at visiting HOD. I just get caught up in projects and before I know it 2 or 3 months has gone by.

If anyone ever sees a topic they think I might be interested in just give me a shout. I'm at joe@joecrabtree.com

Cheers,
Joe
