Aside from the educational experience of watching Vinnie play, the rest of the band was pretty boring to watch. And, I'm not complaining, but watching Vin crash on his ride cymbal for every tune makes me long for some of his studio playing with the likes of Marienthal. Just saying...

I downloaded the dime show and listened to it. There's not a lot of energy coming from that band.
And Vinnie...well...I've never had that feeling about his playing before but something is not right.
The feel of some of his grooves, choices regarding his fills...can't believe I'm writing this.

i was at the uppper darby PA show last night. it was ok. what you see on the youtube clips pretty much sums up this tour. i wasn't digging it. maybe they were tired and burnt out.
