Looked at this earlier..

and for a few secoinds, thought we were getting a pro shot DVD of one of Sting's line ups which includied Vinnie....then I read the full description, and realised the DVD's from the period when Josh Freeze was in the drum chair..

Problems with Josh Freese?

I mean, yeah, I would like to see a DVD or something with Vinnie- I think we all would... but what's so wrong with Josh?

No problems with Josh Freese but Josh Freese is no Vinnie! Can we all agree on that?

I checked some live stuff with Josh and Abe and wasn´t into it...
Omar, Manu and Vinnie setted the bar really high...

Absolutely no problems with Josh, at all, but my point was it could have been, should have been, Vinnie

Just checked out the price of this package...$138??? That's £89....for three CDs (old material 'curated' by Sting - a DVD, and a 'lavish' book.)
Mmmmm -didn't think he needed to top up his pension pot that badly.

Yeah, that asking price is outrageous. I think that A&M/Universal is attempting to make up for the money they lose on downloading all in this one package by an artist who appeals greatly to soccer moms and buttoned down dads.
The only worthwhile track is the new symphonic arrangement of Never Coming Home that didn't make the cut on last year's Symphonicities. The track includes upright bass by John Patitucci, percussion by Joe Bonadio and a bass clarinet solo by Aaron Heick. The overall feel of the song is quite similar to the groove that the Blue Turtles would play on When The World Is Running Down You Make The Best Of What's Still Around, and Sting's backing bands would continue to use for the piano solo section when performing that cut.

By sheer coincidence, the last track I listened to in the car last night was that very track(Never Coming Home ) as performed by Sting's band in a 2003 Sacred Love show from the Mermaid Theatre in London, broadcast on radio 2...with Vinnie!
The whole thing motors along like a steam train, and when the whole band shifts a gear into the last section of WTWIRD....just great, great music.the whole live recording of that show is also notable for the sheer ferocity of Vinni'es fills in Send Your Love...

Any idea on how I could find the audio of that show? Been looking... Thanks
