New book, and a couple of clinics...

Postby Todd Sucherman » Wed Nov 09, 2011 2:13 pm

Hey HODers,

For those interested.....the book that Brad Schlueter and I worked on is now available. It's the "Methods & Mechanics Transcription/Companion Book." For those who have enjoyed the first "M&M" DVD, this is the companion book for it all. All the songs, solos & lessons painstakingly transcribed by my co author, Brad Schlueter. Brad and I have known each other for over twenty years, and he's been familiar with my playing going back to my old days in Chicago. Included is new text from myself and Brad, who's sharp insight and educational pointers helps deeply in digesting the material. The book comes with a CD of all performances and includes a few drumless "play along" tracks. This is available from Hudson Music at the link below.

I also have three clinics coming up before the close of 2011, and the dates are below. If anyone lives in these cities, please come out and say hello.

Cheers-
Todd

Hi all,

Todd and I worked for many months putting it all together and we hope you all like it and find it interesting and useful. It was a great opportunity and I'm grateful to Todd for choosing me to do the project. I've added quite a few new licks to my playing since doing it. ;-)

Now you know why I haven't been around as much lately....

Brad

Also: There's a feature I wrote on Todd in Drum! and another I did coming out in MD in the next issue that you won't want to miss.

bstocky and Richie---

Thanks, guys!

Gaddabout----

Funny you say that. I'm taking my honey to the West Indies at the end of the month for a proper vacation....it has been a long time coming!

Terry---

Thanks, man. I hope you dig it, and thanks for checking out "2."

And thanks to Moose and drum6282.

But really, the thanks goes to Mr. Brad Schlueter on this one. His work on this is astounding, and he just nailed it. I was fortunate to have him on this project indeed!

G'night from Biloxi.....

I'm looking forward to getting this book! Todd, you are really providing a lot of material that I hope to pass onto my students! Give 'em a real kick in the pants! Also, just finished the M&M II. Awesome!!! I loved the end credits and bloopers (plus the fun with the green screen!)!!

Thanks for the inspiration!

Mike
