Found out via WP Simon played on this Robert Palmer tune...1974. 17 years old? Groovy.

Woah. Nothing like seeing SP run right through some difficult material.

Simon answering to my question about Fills and Transitions.
He knows a little about that concept.

Nightmare of my Dreams...his house burned down?
Darwin tune KILLED...enjoyed the lighter touch on a hard rock tune...
so orchestrated and them toms always sound so full and resonate.
Mallets on the toms fit to perfection compositionally. We get the vintage Simon
BD hits and back to center with those snare drum cracks.
Good find K-Man!

I love his stories. How cool would it be to hang with Simon and ask him to talk about his life in 1985 or any professional year of his career!? World is a better place cause of Simon Phillips.
