Signature Empyrean Snare Drum

Postby Todd Sucherman » Thu Sep 01, 2011 8:09 am

Hey guys,

I'm excited to announce something else that has been in the works for a while. Pete Stanbridge and I set out to create what we feel is the most personal, unique and exclusive percussion offering ever. It's the Todd Sucherman Signature Empyrean Stanbridge snare drum. I'm so proud to have teamed up with Pete, who is a master, and to offer a drum and package of unparalleled opulence. We feel this sets a new benchmark in creativity and quality. It's truly a collective dream come true, and for those interested in perusing the website, there's a lot to take in. Check out all the details included in the offering. We tried to create "snare porn" of the highest order! This is also the drum I use in much of the new "Methods & Mechanics II" DVD. Hope you guys enjoy checking it out.

Cheers from Pittsburgh,
Todd

Beautiful drum! Have you heard what happened with Gibson and the U.S. Government as a result of wood sourced from India and Africa? I wonder if Stanbridge has to take any precautions, or if it will be difficult to transport a drum like this accross any borders.

I have never played a drum made with anything but ply shells. These stave and block drums are supposed to be ridiculously amazing.

Beautiful drum, but unrealistic for my budget. The day I can dish in the neighborhood of $5K on a snare drum, I've either won the lottery or I have a very high paying gig or day gig. That said, it's a gorgeous (and gorgeous sounding) work of art/craftsmanship.

Well, I can't afford that, either. Not by a long shot, not even my whole cymbal stack is worth that. But I don't think the price is outrageous by any means, we're talking select woods, excellent designa, and outstanding craftsmanship here. This would like be the difference between buying a BMW or a real luxury car.
