Viewed it. Much appreciated! I enjoyed the banter more than the action, actually...

Man! I wish he'd come out with another album and get back in the clinic scene. I love that stuff!

What a great clip.

I had that on my Youtube page for a long time; it racked up 200,000 hits, and then they removed it. Its just a matter of time before this gets taken down too, so, yes, get it now :)

Vinnie is very lucky (and one of the very few) that people want and let him play like this in the studio. Totally balls out go for it live vibe. Reminds me of the Warren Cuccurullo Thanks2Frank sessions.

Agreed. While many studio players have GREAT chops, not many are "allowed" to use them in the studio! :) More important things than that, anyway.

Vinnie, however, is always musical, always a joy to listen to, whether he's playing delicate ballads with Faith Hill, groovin' with Sting, playing heavy rock/fusion with Jeff Beck, or playing DANGEROUSLY with Zappa! :D

I wonder what the 'Weather Report' thing was that they recorded? I haven't looked but I don't think Kimo is on any WR tributes is he?

i can't think of any other drummer that has the musicality and ability he does. you hire him to do his thing. he plays two takes. one crazy take they would never use and the other not so crazy. they even hire him to just play two and four! he's a genius. if i where a famous drummer and did a drummer album i would hire him to play the drums.
