Was looking for some cleaning tips on my Shure inears and found this... WTF? :|

Yes, because most of their products contain lead or other nasty chemicals. Welcome to life. Be it you agree or disagree with the CA mandated ordinances to tell you that, non the less, they are there.... just like the warnings on your Marlboro packs...

The trace amounts of said chemicals are probably not of a concern. A little rubbing alcohol and Qtip does wonders for cleaning all things in ear things.

Good 'ol prop 65. i <3 direct democracy (not).

Having lived in CA for quite a few years, you can't go into a public place without seeing that placard on the wall. Usually you can tack on "... if ingested" to the sign.

Many manufacturers just reformulate their products to avoid having to label them as such, so my hunch is you're no safer going out of your way to avoid things with that labeling than just ignoring it. ::shrug::

This label is on a ton of stuff. I'm really not sure what the point of it is.
