Different takes...
Re: Different takes...
Well, I'm ok with his interpretation guys, I just watched 2mn, but I can buy this, and really love the fact that he did it on his own way, he's not Gadd after all.
I come from Tain, Vinnie, Omar, Jeff, Fish, Stewart, and many more...
Re: Different takes...
He's a good drummer, but I think that it would be more appropriate to have a Buddy "clone" doing that show. There's gotta be one or two out there somewhere.

Man that hair is sure impressive.
I got nuthin.
I got nuthin.

Ummmm ... impressive stick heights. He also nailed all the horn hits ... of the entire B Rich catalog ... in one song.
You know what would've been better? If he had gone out there with Buddy's kit, but used Zildjian ZBTs. I hear Cathy endor-... appro-... thinks Buddy would have endorsed that sort of thing.

“Let's try some of my songs.” Dave Grohl, top sign drummer will be fired.

Doesn´t sound that different from Sorum... In fact, I think this guy´s feel is a little better with the band.
Re: Different takes...
Obviously not his element, but hey, he did his thing. It does leave something to be desired in the context of "Buddy Rich Memorial" though.
