When I decide to learn something or not I base it on what it sounds like ( on the drums ) . It's kind of hard to get that sense from a pad kit. I like the idea of doing it in the kitchen, it's original. Any plans on doing any stuff on drums?

Naw Steve. Pad play in the kitchen. It works. Have no idea why. But yup it works. Reals drums would kill your vibe.

Thanks Steve and Kurtis,

As for right now, I don't have full idea's of doing a kit, but I'm sure some morning or afternoon I may through a kit or a part of a kit in my kitchen. lol... I've thought of doing it other places (bathroom outside etc... but kinda takes out the kitchen vibe)

The idea is new for me to do this type of setup/lesson diary system, and I'd like to do more, trying to get thoughts of how to make the experience work better for the the viewer.

I'll definitely keep your thoughts in mind Steve, thought's like yours are part of why I'm checking in!

Thanks and any more thoughts are totally appreciated!

What kind of practice pad set is that?

How about doing some actual cooking while you're there? You should have some bacon frying in the background (I wanna hear the sizzling). Every now and then, reach back and turn over a few strips of bacon.

It's the DW practice pad setup... I did a price match thing between GC and BestBuy and got for around 110 ... But you can find them used for cheaper.

And the VIC FIRTH Shed sticks are the rubber tipped sticks I was using.

As I get better with video editing and stuff, I'd eventually like to be able to do my 'kitchen diary' videos more like this: with multiple video angles / above the boiling water in the pot beside me / through the coffee steam ... etc.

Here's a new diary... What do you think of the intro? It has nothing to do with drums, which IS intentional to be random. lol

Wow!... It's been a few years since I've been back HOME! I would read everyone's post on a daily routine! Just getting back on here and I'm already catching up on the latest bits!

So, I haven't posted many more 'Kitchen Diaries', but I have posted another update with song-music vibe. Made a quick Bass Synth progression with a few additional elements, then as we all know drums. I'm wondering what you think of the mix drums/music ratio... and if you don't care about that, do you even enjoy 1min Insta videos?
