I didn't watch anything (yet) but thank you. I love Marco's drumming.

First two clips aren't his best stuff, IMO. However, I always enjoy the Monty Python stuff he does.

Marco can groove, but I wish he'd throw more of that stuff up online-- as of now, he'll groove for a few seconds and then go into that crackhead bumblebee fluttery independence stuff all over the place. I've heard Marco lay it down like Benny Greb the times that I've seen him live, and I wish he'd throw it down more. Hell, at least to add to his own cred, as I think people hear the stuff that is posted above and go "meh, another chops guys, no groove, whatever."

I'm a Marco fan and I think it's too bad that he doesn't showcase that part of his playing more-- hell, it's apparent he's put in the time on it, might as well show that off, too.

The Steven Wilson record has some great playing from Marco.

To me, incorporating difficult drumming tastefully in music is a great idea, he pulls it off on the record.

For its own sake, eh...

You have heard the new Steven Wilson record? Comes out in February. Looking forward to that record.

Didn't care for Marcos playing in those YouTube clips. Neato stuff tho.

I didn't post it in order to show his best stuff. As I mentioned >>> Marco started his official YouTube channel a week ago. He uploaded these clips.

Yeah, those aren't the best clips of his playing but it's good that he started a channel. I wish more guys would do that.

and yes, Marco can groove. When he does lay it down he sounds awesome. His has a great backbeat crack on his snare. I think he has ADD or something. He gets bored after a few bars and needs to go nuts.

Check out "The Aristocrats" with Guthrie Govan on guitar and Bryan Beller on bass. Marco in his element IMO.
