Re: GROOVES - Vinnie first...
Oh my, some of the choices here really seem arbitrary. The thread is starting to look sorta like this...

You are right Electrizer.
I change the title of the Thread to:
Special GROOVES - Tunes with Trademark Grooves
And this is a good rule for the topic that I posted in the initial post:
For the good of the thread, please don´t post tunes just because they have a good groove...The thread would go to 10.000 pages and the interest would go to Zero.
Lets post tune´s grooves that you can listen 1-2 bars and you know what song is, even if they are played alone, without other instruments...(Rossana, 50 ways...)
It doesn´t mean that the song has to start with that groove, although in many cases it´s the case.
So tunes with Trademark grooves.
And the test would be this:
Someone play the groove with the drums, without any other instruments, with a different drumset, sound...and you still know WHAT TUNE IS !!!

That intro grooves kicks ass. We had a cadence that was a little like that, we would jam it out.

This one chugs along. The double snare hit makes it.
Similar, but no mistaking it's Charlie. What a groove.

Bruford was a huge influence on me in my teens. These were "must-learn" patterns:

I've always loved this version. Ferrone's time is out of this world.
