Vinnie was on the Timezone record (which is AMAZING!!!!!!) and (I think?) this is from Jackmagnet with David Logeman. I asked Vinnie about Timezone once, he said "Yeah we recorded that in Jakob's living room, we were just blowing and going for it." Timezone was Vinnie, Landau, Tav, Jeff Berlin, and Jakob.

It doesn't even really sound like Vinnie (to me.)
Sounds like sort of a carbon copy of Vinnie or Gadd.

Excuse me if my memory (or taste) is failing me,

In those days you had to go "Gadd" kind of drumming, Harvey, Jeff, JR, Omar did not have to go there though...
The late great Carlos Vega was REALLY into Gadd too.

Here Vinnie also in a Gadd's fashion.

I come from Tain, Vinnie, Omar, Jeff, Fish, Stewart, and many more...

Thanks Kurtis for this Mondo Trio cut. Actually,
this makes my point from a few posts ago. There
are VERY, VERY FEW EXCITING RECORDINGS issued
now showing VC playing fusion, jazz or just mind blowing
music..............I don't put Lari Basilio in those categories........
So, what are we doing here on the VC page ?....Reposting cuts
from years ago BECAUSE there is nothing like this that is new......
However, the other side, as Steve puts it, we have all the past mind
blowing music of Vinnie's to appreciate, as Kurtis and many of you
are posting.

Hell ya Jean. There are some Vinnie performances that I revisit frequently. The Wishful Thinking album he played on back in the 90's gets a lot listens.

I Love the Mondo Trio disc. Too bad about the low-fi production. Still some fun tunes and great playing!

Does anyone know the English name of the Chinese record from 1992 that Vinnie
played on? Some tune names are---YOU ARE MY SECRET----LET THE RIVER RUN----FRIENDS---PIECE OF MY WISH----IF WE HOLD ON TOGETHER.
I hear Vinnie is allowed to 'play' on this date.
