Caught Dave in a clinic last night. His sound was amazing. Puts a smile on your face to hear that. You don't get that from watching vids. The dynamics and flow of ideas, also truly mind blowing...he could have played a two hour solo and not repeated himself.

Lots of sleight of hand as well, he's a magician.

Yeah he's done his 40th anniversary with Yamaha clinic tour. No west coast dates unfortunately.

Man, Dave is the greatest big band drummer I think I've ever heard. Nobody can concieve of playing orchestrated rhythmic kicks like Dave. And great band! The soloists were top notch! Take it on the road Dave. So much better than hearing all of these synth patches trying to sound like horns.

That floor tom sounds amazing! :)
Solo has it all...technically crazy, but
very creative...combo of everything.
Every hit was spot on musically.
I hope he can finance this gig...
lots of "cats" on the payroll here.
My dad would have loved to see
