I got to see the Imagine Project tour when they came to Chicago. I saw every side of Vinny's talent that night from balls to the walls to some of the most sensitive, tasteful playing and EVERYTHING in between. Same with Herbie and the rest of the gang...great stuff. I guarantee you'll have an extremely enjoyable evening.

Last night....wow....crappy bass mix, but Vinnie.....just wow.

And....he has fun when he goes for something and clams.
Please, dear God, stop them from clapping on 1 and 3.

Vinnie was spot on Wednesday night. I laughed out loud a few times at the stuff he pulled off. His tasty hi-hat work has always been one facet of his playing that has fascinated me. I left bound and determined to practice more. I'm still in shock over the whole thing. I finally got to see one of my all-time favorite drumming heroes. Herbie blew me away as well. I can't believe the guy is 71 years old!!

That's the thing -- I know this is a drum chat, but I was definitely enthralled by Herbie -- great energy, and wonderful musicality.
