Anton Fig's kit sounded great to me. Not a bad solo. Very rock'ish...and like he's learned no new licks for the past 25 years he's been on the show.

Sheila E. was good, too. A little rushed at times, but I chalk that up to that elastic Latin time thing. Definitely comfortable soloing...

Lost interest in the Roy solo and never finished watching it.

I stayed up late to watch Neil's solo. I love Neil for his contributions to drumming and music but this was definitely not one of them. I was cringing...he didn't stand up at the end to receive the applause and/or greet Dave which I found odd and slightly disrespectful. Maybe he was pissed that Dave had a sight gag earlier in the show about "Peart" shampoo, which would have been funnier if they mispronounced his name.

Sure, there are 50 other drummers that we would have liked to have heard, but it was still nice to give the instrument some recognition...

I wouldn't have the balls to go on national TV and play a solo, so take my critique with a grain of salt... :D

Flamless sorta-blushda alert in Neil's solo at 4:10. hehe I'm actually stealing that phrase. I liked it.

I'ts intersting to see how different we are, Different strokes...

I thought Roys solo was nice, liked his sound. He is slower than he used to be but I still liked it, Music.

Sheila was ok.

Anton sounds clumsy and his kit sounded like absolute crap, expensive crap.

Neil... played lots of rhytms after each other and att the same time... Neil is Neil.
But, his new ride was the most undynamic, booring ride I've heard in a long time.

But I love them all!

;)

Niel should have played this solo instead. Better sound, more music.

Neil's coordination and power is leaving him, which is sad to me...but he still can put out huge energy during a concert, more than I bet all of the hip cats at HOD actually, but it's just too obvious age is catching him. He used to be much cleaner.

I agree with those that felt that Anton's kit sounded like crap, particularly his smallest tom. I liked his solo though. I can appreciate Sheila E. but thought didn't dig the solo....didn't really dig Neil Peart's so much either and I have yet to see to Roy Haynes'

Anton's kit seemed to be a tuning issue to me only because everyone else's sounded better. Neil's kit sounded great except for the kick... I think it was one of THOSE 23 inch kicks.
