Congratulations Rob...on the 25th anniversary, on having a very understanding wife, and the snare collection! Which is your main snare -the one on the racetrack clips? Always sounds great! cheers John

Wow, just yesterday I finished rebuilding a Yamaha 14 x 5 copper shell snare that I found in a shop in Leeds, UK in a really bad way. The lugs needed replacing as well as the heads and the snares, it sounds amazing. It's the original seamless copper shell.
The only other drum I would want is the Roy Haynes. That's great Rob!
My wife is pretty awesome. She and the kids have surprised me like that on several occasions over the years.
John...that snare from the race track clips is the maple Grestch. I am working on uploading clips soon with "Roy".
We worked with a sound company on July 4th at a big setting, and he really liked the copper shell..."It's very controlled, not too wild like other snares that I have to spend a lot of time dialing in."
I have the same exact one and I really love it. I bought it when I was in my heavy Bill Stewart phase and the Roy Haynes one reminded me of Bill's. Ludwig. Congratulations on the new snare!
