Sixun

Postby Juan Carlos Mendoza » Thu Jul 21, 2011 8:49 am

Hey guys,

I just got hipped into Sixun and their album "Palabre." If you do not have it, I HIGHLY recommend it!!!! The music is so grooving and the drummer Paco Sery (very underestimated) is outstanding and superb. I think they are based out of France, but I'm not too sure about it since I just recently got into it. Whomever has seen them live, I am envious of you LOL. Anyway, I attempted to play over one the tracks on the album and for the left side of the picture I used a Zoom Q3 (that belongs to my middle school band) and on the hi hat side I used a Zoom Q3HD (that my parents' bought me for my birthday). I used IMovie '11 to edit and mix a little bit. All the drumming audio is coming from both Q3's and I'm very impressed with the quality especially for the price. Any how enjoy and would love to hear your honest opinions. I'm working on some instructional videos as well so I'll keep you guys posted. Take care and God Bless.

Thanks Rodge,... Paco is killin',... but it's Bona that floors me! In my opinion, one of the best bass players alive! It's like Jaco said "here you go Mr. Bona, take over for me"... ridiculous talent.
