I don't know, it was not THAT bad.. Indian singing was ok, maybe a bit gimmicky but what the hell. I don't quite see the point of this video, maybe they just had some fun at the studio and vic firth decided to release it.

I like the fact that Steve is trying something different with the tala and all. I didn't like it, but I have respect for him trying out.

Johnston video would have been cool, if he admitted of being the same kind of forumdouche. Now it's like a tv-evangelist who gets caught having gay sex.

After having read the thread before watching the vid, I didn't know what to expect. However, I kinda liked it. I didn't mind the vocal ninjitsu as much as I thought I might. I think I want a wave drum???
Moderation's all well and good, just don't overdo it.

I wonder how full on Tabla players feel about this new fangled counting rage?..

Isn't it just the equivalence of counting 16th's or triplets ect in their vernacular?

+1 for the scat here.

SS is just having fun. Maybe good taste isn't his thing (did you see his outfits in Journey??!!?) but he's just having fun being himself behind the drums. +1 gazillion for that.
