I was thinking this dude is killer. And then I heard the band come in on the end, thinking wow, this band is as good as Chick Corea.

I had the privilege of seeing Marcus Gilmore live with Gonzalo Rubalcaba a few years ago. He played like an alien from another planet. One tune was so out that I couldn't even figure out what the time signature was.
