Re: Jojo Mayer
There was a PDF going around a while back (a long while), that had the ending of "Vinnie" by Screaming Headless Torsos. Anybody still have that. My copy is long gone and I cannot find it in any backups of my computers. Thanks!
Also, here is one of my favorite Me'Shell shows with Jojo! Couldn't tell ...

Re: iPad mounts
Sounds a little heavy and impractical to me.
Hard to find alternatives domestically that even fit a regular 10 or 12.
Anyway.
The idea is to just sneak it inbetween my hats and first rack. Also something to attach it to a snare stand so I can have it directly in front of my practice pad is also ...

Re: iPad mounts
I just use an extra snare stand. It is attached to a short Gibraltar rack where I also have a Roland TM-2 and a Roland trigger pad.

Greg works with my buddy who directs voice work...he's the voice of a very
popular character from Winnie the Pooh. He was at a Disney session my friend
was directing and when Greg said something he told everyone to stop talking.
Then said, "You, drummer...say something." Greg talked and he said ...

Re: Sting /Gabriel tour
Saw the show in Denver this past Tuesday! Great, great performance! Vinnie played his butt off and Ged Lynch was great too. I loved the switching between bands throughout the show and the mix of players for Sting and Peter's tunes. I've seen Sting a couple of times with this band (Vinnie, Dominick ...

Re: Drum Camp topic: drum camp reviews and info
I went to Benny Greb's camp this year and one of Mike Johnston's last year. Both great camps!
Benny Greb's Master Session:
Camp of 26-28 drummers. He went through The Language of Drumming and some of The Art & Science of Groove. It was one of his more generalized camps, as opposed to his ...

Re: Anyone have one of these thrones?
I've had both sizes of the Carmichaels and love the smaller one. You do have to make sure you are sitting on it just right and have your leg angle at just above 90 degrees to get it feeling right. The owner is really good about helping you get it adjusted correctly. The Ahead one just seemed like ...

Re: Drum building/projects
I've built 2 sets and 3 snare drums. It was cheaper than buying the pro kit I wanted, plus I got some experience on what affects the sound. Most important thing I learned...if you are doing the finish on the drums yourself (not covering), do the ENTIRE kit together. It is a PITA to match finishes. I ...
