Re: DAVE WECKL - The thread about Dave
Without a doubt. Dave is incredible. One of the greatest ever. He and Vinnie were the top of the tree during that late 80s/early 90s era. I just wish Dave would stop popping that & with the snare and hi-hat bark before the 1 when he's playing an 8th note groove. Somebody tell him.

Re: DAVE WECKL - The thread about Dave
Man I would really Love to see Dave just play interrupted groove here for a change. All the HH embellishments and stabs every two bars/four bars. Not playing that stuff is its own skill. Exactly! I always thought that Dave does that way too much on way too many tunes, and it really worsens his groo...

Maybe you're talking about "Curiosity Killed The Cat" ? Great band indeed, here with the GREAT Jeff on drums, maybe Nathan East on bass. [youtube_https:1a2j3pa5]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PdcDSmi3S64[/youtube_https:1a2j3pa5] [youtube_https:1a2j3pa5]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UgpF...

Great bands not many have heard of.
Hey guys. I remember years back there was a thread about great bands that not many people know about, but should. Something like that. I've searched, but I can't find the original post/thread. I wonder if it's archived anywhere. I remember in particular that Rodge listed some cool videos of songs fr...

Who was that drummer? ( David Langguth )
Hey yall.
Years ago there were some videos posted of a pretty good drummer, but I can't remember his name. Dude had blond hair in a ponytail and played traditional grip. I don't know if the guy is American or not. Playing kind of reminded me on Vinnie on the Bridge video. Any ideas on who that is?

Re: Ali Jackson thread
This is pretty much what I got out of his video: "Hey, I'm a drummer that nobody (particularly on this forum) has ever even bothered to mention as an inspiration ridiculing probably the greatest drummer ever. That's how I'll get people to know who I am. Plus, I can use Vinnie's name to make me ...
