Justin Faulkner

Postby Lucas Ives » Sat Aug 13, 2011 7:24 am

Just discovered Justin Faulkner, straight ahead guy who's playing with Branford lately .. hadn't heard of him, but anyone who's plays Tain's gig must have their shit together. Went digging on yt, found some good stuff. Am I just late to the party on this guy? Love his playing.

Neat head for Don't Mean A Thing into a great time feel (although a commenter pointed out that at 4:16 Revis tells him to pick a cymbal and stick with it ...)

He's got some fire in his playing for sure. I think he sounds great.
