Matt Halpern joins the Yamaha family

Postby drumnhands » Mon Dec 03, 2012 11:07 am

We're proud to announce that Matt halpern has joined the Yamaha family of artists. matt's a great player and a great guy. We're glad he reached out to come on board. Matt's first kit will be an Oak Custom but there was something cool he saw at our artist facility in Burbank that's coming in January that he has his eyes on.

Well good! If he would only have capitalized his name, I'm sure I'd be more aware of him.

ha ha, yes it's amusing that one needs a hat to be a good drummer...we've all seen those guys wearing the woollen hats...this sort of thing:

in fact the subject of drummers and hats should have its own thread

Uh oh.

*wears hat*

I wonder if his drums will sound good now. Every clip I've seen of him is unwatchable because his drums so bad. The album sounds amazing but it's all midi. He played a Roland kit and used samples.

Can someone fill me in on why we should be digging this guy? That video was not good.
