Morgenthaler, any reason why Virgil doesn't use the Demon Drive pedals?

He does actually use Demon Drives sometimes. I just talked to him about it.
He said the Demon Drive is a very effective direct drive pedal - it feels light and quick to him.
He also said it's great for some things (singles) and not for others (doubles)
He let me know that he is waiting for the new Demon Drive Chain drive pedals which he thinks
could be a good compromise between Eliminators and Demon direct drive.

I've seen footage of him on Sonor, Premier and Pearl pedals.
I have not noticed a difference in the things he can execute with his feet.

Anyone should be able to sit down and play any pedal and sound decent. The player might not be 100% comfortable but their performance should sound fine to the listener.

My point exactly.
I think the gear talk is getting way out of hand. The whole Vinnie/Paiste/Ludwig thing is
really blown out of all relevance.

Obviously, Virgil is one who needs his pedals to match his level,
but most modern pedals would, I bet.
