why Weckl doesn't get the bigger gigs

I've always asked that myself...he has the ego...why not get the bank and do a tour or two?

With who? Who is touring and actually making money? What big acts that hire sidemen are out there on tour paying big bucks? Name two.

The only 2 that come to my mind would be Gordy and Sir Paul...other than that, dunno. Touring has been a break even proposition for the vast majority of acts for a long time now.

This isn´t recent, but for me is very interesting.
The old CCEB, without the techno drum-sound, Dave playing the "new" Yamaha.
The drums and band´s sound is incredible, and it sounds fresh even now...

^^ Wow that was cool . Old school Weck on non-traditional weck drum sizes. He's got them tuned to sound exactly like his drums sounded back then. Interesting.
