i would love to hang out with SS. He's one of the drum gods. A drummer/musician that has toured the world for 3 decades and fills the seats every time. There are a few things i don't like about his playing these days. You can't be 31 years old your entire life. He's a master of his craft. It be nice to get a one on one and ask him his choices of direction of why. Drum mags and Internet interviews don't capture the person. I admire these musicians who tour the world. Airports, Food. Health. Equipment. Health. Hotel. Transport. Money. Stress. More Stress. Performing night after night and blowing people away. Leader of the band has more stress. Away from family. The list is extensive being a world class touring musician. I have a ton of respect for musicians that have the goods and perform night after night and still find time to play on a few recordings.

Look at me!! I can play left hand lead almost as good as my right. I'm also playing exercise 2B and moving my hand from the ride to the hihat etc...

That's one way to look at it.

Another is that if you're going to play the groove from Vital Transformation, it's much easier to execute leading left than right handed.
