All of the above mentioned are good/great. Joe Jackson's book was especially enlightening, but, I'm a HUGE fan.
Anthony Kiedis' book is unbelievable. You won't believe he's still alive. Same with Motley and Aerosmith. Talk about lessons in poisoning your body and how much punishment it can take...
All of the Police books are good. Big fan, so I buy everything I can get on those guys.
Sammy Hagar's book is an illuminating read, for sure.
Sharon Osbourne's book is great as well.

Basically, I read everything rock n' roll I can get my hands on. Go down to your local library too. You'll be surprised how many cool books are there.

Next, it's the Ozzy book, This Wheel's on Fire by Levon Helm, and I think Melissa Etheridge has a book too. I'll probably pick those up soon. (I passed up the Rick Springfield book at BnN the other day even though it was only 5.98. Gotta draw the line somewhere...)

While typing the last post (and after hitting, "submit", I realized that there's a book out there about the "Wrecking Crew" that I never found for a decent price. I googled it and I guess there's a movie about them?

I read Ozzy's autobiography and was continuously laughing out loud and pissing in my pants! That guy is NUTS!!

Just finished Ace Frehley’s No Regrets. I was a huge KISS fan when I was a kid and the Spaceman was my favourite.
His solo album in the 70s was great, the best of the 4 (Anton Fig on drums). Being the one with a cult following, I ‘ll tell you he falls down his pedestal big time with this book.
What an unreliable lunatic junky slouch. To an extent he deserved some of the treatment he received by Gene although that band was dysfunctional right from the start.
Those two have a vicarious vendetta through books.
Fun read though, lots of anecdotes. Some with Anton Fig who wasn’t an angel either...

It's a shame it's out of print, but it's worth tracking down on Ebay or Amazon. Every now and then some nutbag is selling a copy for 300 bucks, but hold out...you can find them pop up for 20 or 30 bucks. It's a book you'll read more than once.

I grabbed a copy of that at a Borders as they were closing out. They found it tucked away in the back room and I scored it for like 75 cents. I snatched it up immediately. A great, great read.
