Hear Thur These Walls! Fantastic drumming - woof.

I think Trick of the Tail (1976 Genesis album) would be on my list, Phil Collins at his most awesome.

I've not seen Thanks to Frank (Warren Cuccrollo, Vinnie) on anyone's list, that's a fabulous drumming album. I like Wigged Out by Randy Waldman too (perhaps I just prefer Vinnie in a trio situation!).

Crash by Dave Matthews Band (Carter Beauford) would be on mine too.

Led Zep IV.

Gently Disturbed by Avishai Cohen Trio (Mark Guiliana)

And a Mahavishnu album too, not sure which one.

I have a hard time with this because all my favorite records aren't focused on drumming, but rather the music as a whole...

:| :-|

...but in spirit of fun, here goes (and some of these do belong on my desert island list)!

-Joe's Garage/Vinne/Zappa
-Moving Pictures/Neil/Rush
-Believe it/Tony/Lifetime
-Miles in the Sky/Tony/Miles Davis
-Abbey Road/Ringo/The Beatles (PURE Ringo playing for the song and creativity, not to mention his solo)
-EnRoute/John Scofield/Bill Stewart
-How the West Was Won/John Henry Bonham/Led Zep
-Reggatta de Blanc/Stewie/Police
-The Leprechaun/Gadd/Chick Corea

...and this one I'm going to get a lot of shit for, but it was a huge influnce on me due to the music and the straight-ahead-actually-playing-for-the-song prog-rock stylings of my youth:

-Bridge Across Forever/Portnoy/Transatlantic (really, this is a GREAT classic 70's-ish vibe prog record)

Five Piece Band

Karizma - Document

Michael Landau - Live 2000

There are a ton of them, but it just feels weird selecting any more. Old TOP stuff is great.
