Fool in the Rain

Jesus Christ Pose

Longview (Green Day)

Keep it Greasy

Everlong (Foo Fighters)

Little Red Corvette

Superstition (kinda cheating, cause the drum intro made the groove famous...)

I guess you mean not just the drum intro buit the whole tune. If thats the case, really anything Bonham, Copeland, Carter, or Phil Collins. Barracuda springs to mind as well.

If we are talking intros only-
When The Levee Breaks, Ants Marching, Rosanna, Africa, Hot For Teacher, Badlands(Springsteen), Rock and Roll, Painkiller(Priest), and Murder By Numbers come to mind as drum intro songs that the casual listener can identify as easily as a pitch instrument intro.

Good calls up to now.

Yes, it's been a while since a hit had a signature drum groove or lick.

A drummer quickly identifialble is Alex Van Halen. Non-drummer people I know can tell a VH song by the drums.
His sound is really idstinctive, bright, clear, "in your face" loud in the mix. Distivnctive snare, ride, toms.
It's not a sound I would kill for, but definitely different.
