Yeah, I definitely didn't mean to classify him as a 'gospel chops' guy, I really just meant 'guy that comes from a gospel music background', which he most certainly does. I would agree his thing is NOT 'gospel chops'. I could have used a better term, but regardless, I also don't mean to imply 'gospel chops' as a pejorative expression either. Re-reading my post I can see how it might be taken in that light and it wasn't intended. My bad, sorry for the confusion.
