The guy just doesn't seem like he has any fire- seems like he's practiced a lot.
That being said, I (personally) wouldn't dream of playing that tune live...

Very tough tune to try and cover. Not sure many people on this planet could do justice to it, but I applaud the sack to try to. J.L. was a student of mine at MI. good player and very dedicated...

Yeah, I can appreciate the talent there but, as was stated, the vibe is missing. Seems like a college recital. In my day it was The Black Page. Geez, Vince has been kicking us in the nuts for decades!!!

IMHO they should have done without the click accompaniment. Probably would've grooved harder and helped the "organic" feel of the tune.

Steve, what's your beef with this cat? I don't see an issue here at all. I thought he nailed the tune! What's wrong?
