I also think it's a reason why lots of the former fantastic 'profile' contributors like Peter Erskine, Gavin, Todd and such steer clear of posting anymore.

lol

I don't think so Mark, but anyway, we can do without them, I did not joint HoD for chatting with the stars, I know almost everybody in that bloody business, if I need to ask them something I just ask them straight.

But I know that you're a DW guy, it seems that they are treating you well and you like them, good for you mate.

That's so bizarre. .You go to all the trouble of making a great promo video with a legend in the drumming world and you blow it by not tuning the toms... who's in charge of quality control audio/sound wise?. that's shocking...I'm sure they could make them sound great.. But they didn't
.. weird.

Interesting skins, maybe they were going for an ultra vintage calfskin sound on the toms.. they sure sound poopy. ..

There are many good (as in suitable) sounds, and those drums sound good to me... ;)

Thanks Paul,
I was wondering what the deal was ! I reckon DW drums probably do sound better with Remo, but I prefer other drums and other heads. Very interesting that they made a video. Peter so discreet and thoughtful about what he says and plays. I was listening to a couple dvds I got with him teaching (Everything I know and Drumset method) and he did get a great sound out of those Yammies. I do like his DW snare drum sound as well. He really demonstrates how important good cymbals and a great touch are !
