It may be "psychologically intense" as a battlefield...the only difference being a Jazz drummer doesn't step on an IED on his way home. Come on, people. Really.

I'd really like to know that too.
Someone who likes buddy rich that's for sure... three references in there. His name (obviously), the thrown object with last minute duck on bandstand, and that slow to fast single stroke roll.

I will actually try to watch this movie before I make any harsh judgements, but...this seems to validate "bullies" in the arts. I've always been sure that no one can force you to be a great musician/drummer...And even if one day, you decide that you are great, no one else has to agree with you. Otherwise, you're just baiting for accolades, and I got over that years ago...
