Sting is obviously the big name in the business. And Josh lays it down no matter what gig.

But if those videos are any indication of the way things are... pretty much anyone could handle that gig. You can't even hear the drums on the first video at all. It's just such shitty sound, you gotta wonder why people go these concerts at all.

What he does with Sting on those clips is for me kind of terrible...

I think Josh is cut from the same musical cloth as Stewart Copeland. They have the same sense of pushing time forward. Maybe Copeland rushes, I dunno, but Josh seems to get paid to play out in front of the pulse a bit, which gives his playing that old time punk sense of urgency. They're also more than just drummers.

Of course, I'd much rather hang with Freese than anyone from the Copeland family, but that's a personality issue. Then again, there's a lot to be said about a professional musician that's also a great hang.
